Chris Bailey and friends formed the band 鈥楾attered Soul鈥 at PAC, performing at school dances and city clubs. At university Chris joined 鈥楻ed Angel Panic鈥, a band remembered for strident anti-Vietnam war songs, hosted the ABC TV contemporary music show, 鈥楽olid Air鈥, and then sang and played bass for the alternative rock outfit 鈥楬eadband鈥.
Chris then joined rock band 鈥楾he Angels鈥, which produced some of Australia鈥檚 most iconic and well recognised rock songs including 鈥淎m I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again鈥. In 1988 Chris, along with other members of the band were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame. He was a founding member of internationally popular 鈥楪ANGgajang鈥, a band that penned memorable Australian rock songs such as 鈥淪ounds of Then鈥.
Chris was a highly sought after musician who also played in the bands of Jimmy Barnes and Billy Joel. He will be remembered as talented, melodic and creative bass player renowned for his commitment, reliability and perfectionism.
