国产爆料 is excited to announce the launch of the 国产爆料 Podcast series! The series focuses on conversations with interesting people and how they interpret our values of Respect, Excellence, Belonging and Endeavour in their own lives.
This student-led initiative involved a group of our Year 12 students stepping outside of their comfort zones and building confidence in the new skills they have developed. Our students started by reflecting on our College values and thinking about people they admire in whom they see one of more of our values reflected. They identified and approached potential guests, researched them, prepared their questions, and then recorded in one take conversations with some very interesting people.
Our first episode features Ms Georgina West, our new Deputy Headmaster and Head of Secondary School. Hosts Sam and Oliver delve into Ms West鈥檚 journey which is marked by perseverance, passion and leadership. Drawing from her experiences on the water as an elite rower, Ms West shares how the discipline and teamwork of the sport parallel the essential traits required in boys鈥� education. She candidly discusses the challenges she鈥檚 faced throughout her career, revealing her insights on creating an educational environment that not only nurtures academic excellence but also builds resilience and character in young men.
Of the experience, Ms West said, 鈥淚 was impressed with Sam and Oliver鈥檚 level of knowledge and the preparation they had clearly invested. They were able to build a rapport with me that enabled the conversation to naturally flow and cover their chosen topics.
鈥淧roviding our students with opportunities to try new things and develop new life skills in a safe and supportive environment is a hallmark of the well-rounded education boys receive at 国产爆料. I was honoured to be asked to participate and support this experience for our boys.鈥�
